How enrollment works

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call (267) 717-2800 or email info@swdaycare.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We founded Smart Wonderkids with one goal: a place where every child feels safe and confident. From there, we help you plan the next step.

  2. 02

    Tour the room

Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch the day in motion. Ask anything about the routine, the meals, or the other children. Then decide if it fits your family.

  3. 03

    Enroll and settle in

When you enroll, we plan a first week that suits your child's routine. You bring the forms, and we walk you through the rest. Teachers greet your child by name and help them settle. Families are part of the community from day one.

What to have ready

Most families gather a few papers before the first day. You will need your child's birth certificate, immunization records, and emergency contacts. Add the people allowed to pick up your child. A registration fee is part of the checklist, and we can answer questions about it.

Pack a full change of clothes, including socks and underwear. Add outdoor gear for the season, like a hat, boots, or a warm coat. Nap items matter too: a small blanket or sheet if your child rests. A comfort object from home helps the first days feel familiar.

Decide who will drop off and who will pick up. Tell us how you want to hear about the day, whether at the door or by phone. If your child has a routine or comfort need, share it with the teacher. A short goodbye works better than a long one.

The first weeks

The first days often start with shorter visits. Your child brings a familiar object, like a small toy or blanket. A teacher greets them by name at the door. You can stay close or step out, whichever feels right for your child.

At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, slept, and played. They share a moment from the day, good or hard. Most children settle within a few weeks, though every child is different. Ask questions anytime.

What families ask

What about tuition?

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.

What ages do you take?

Children from 6 weeks to 18 months; Ages 3-5 years; Ages 5-12 years.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes. Smart Wonderkids Daycare encourages parents and children to visit and see the classrooms in action. During the visit, children can join the activities while you observe the daily routine.

How do you handle the first weeks?

Many children start with shorter days and build up. A familiar object from home and a teacher who greets them by name make a difference. At pickup, teachers tell you how the day went.

What does a typical day include?

The day starts with warm welcomes and free discovery play. Then come singing, stories, and daily goals, followed by outdoor fun, lunch family-style, and rest. Afternoon brings specialty art and guided projects. Teachers share highlights at pickup.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Parents usually hear about the day at pickup. Teachers share how your child ate, slept, and played. You can ask questions anytime, and we will tell you what we see.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us to ask what is available for the days you need.

What if there is no place right now?

You can ask us to let you know when a place opens for your child's age. We will tell you as soon as we know.

What should I ask on the tour?

Ask about hours, meals, and who can pick up your child. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what a typical day looks like. Those answers tell you whether the fit is right.

Six children engage in various craft activities at a table with building blocks, wooden pieces, and art supplies.
