The room your child would join
You will see the classroom your child would join, with the materials on the shelves at child height. We walk you through the outdoor space too, weather permitting. Visits happen during an ordinary part of the day, so you see real mornings, not a staged one.
The teachers
You meet the teacher who runs the room, not just the person at the front desk. Ask her how a day runs, from arrival through rest time. Ask how she handles the first weeks, when a child is still learning the room.
Your questions
Bring your questions about hours, meals, pickups, and tuition. Write them down before you come so nothing slips your mind in the hallway. If we do not know an answer on the spot, we follow up with you.
Before you come
Bring your child along on the tour. They can see the room, meet the teacher, and try a few toys while you talk. Children settle faster when the space is already familiar. Ask about the arrival routine for your child's age, from 6 weeks to 18 months, 3-5 years, or 5-12 years. The teacher will tell you what to pack.
Ask about hours and pickup times, meals and rest, and how the first weeks are handled when a child is settling in. Ask how parents hear about the day and what happens when a child is unwell. These are the questions that tell you how a center really runs. Write down the answers while they are fresh.
